Potter County Halloween Safety Tips
With so many children roaming the streets of Potter County on Halloween night in search of treats it could be easy for your little goblin to get injured. Take a look ay these safety tips for everyone.
Parents:
- Always be on the lookout for drunk drivers in your neighborhood
- Make Sure your children are always accompanied by an adult and if possible trick or treat in groups
- Have your child carry a chrged cell phone in case of emergency
- Inspect all candy for tampering. Throw away anything that looks suspicious.
Children:
- Bring a flashlight with fresh batteries so you can see where your going and be seen while trick or treating
- Go to the bathroom before trick or treating. Never go into the house of a stranger.
- Never approach a strangers house from the back door.
- Stay on the sidewalk at all times and stay with an adult.
- Do not wear roller blades or use a skateboard. Many injuries have been reported each year resulting from injuries by children using skatebords and roller blades.
Pet Owners:
- Do not keep your pets in the yard during Halloween celebrations. Many animals are hurt and stolen at this time.
- Do not give candy to your pets. Candy may be toxic to their health.
